For nearly 3 decades Century Products has been manufacturing high-grade landscape materials such as Root Barrier, Water Barrier/Bamboo Barrier, Slope Guards and Tree Guards. At Century we have certified Arborists available for project consultations and advice. We work closely with City & County governments as well as architects so that our customers can rest assured that they are using products that meet and/or exceed required specifications.

In 2004, Century Products was chosen to provide root barriers for the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas. The $25 million grand award winning project (excluding trees) needed to be fitted with root barriers so that the 20 Aleppo Pines, 100 year old pomegranate trees, 150 foot manmade mountain and many other trees would not damage the surrounding hardscapes and walkways. The architect needed Century Products to provide custom size root barrier panels that were 9 feet deep. The Wynn Resort required the very best materials for one of the most expensive and beautiful resorts in the world. Century Products also has a presence in many places you visit on a daily basis. Places like Costco, Wal-Mart, Shopping Malls and Parks are where Century Root Barriers are being used. They may be underground and out of view but they are doing what they are designed to do. Keeping hardscapes, foundations and streets free from tree root damage so that communities around the world remain visually beautiful and safe.

Company History
Century Products began business in the late 1970's when Orange County California contacted the company for root pruning and root barrier installation projects. This was a period of approximately 3-4 years.

During the late 70's and 80's it became evident to us that the materials being manufactured were not meeting the quality standards that they were intended for. As we worked diligently with Orange County officials we found that in most cases the root barriers were failing and causing major damage to surrounding hardscapes. We realized that this was unacceptable and it was at this time that Floyd T. Smith (Certified Arborist), who founded Century Products decided to do something about the substandard products that were being implemented. He began by changing the design of the existing root barriers and implementing a more functional and effective product that is now made of high grade plastics.

Century has now evolved into the leader in hardscape protection by providing the landscape industry with high quality and durable products that meet and exceed industry specifications. Since we have been providing root barriers and other landscaping products to the industry for almost 3 decades and have been at the forefront of hardscape protection, we know that our customers will feel confident that when they choose Century Products they are getting the very best.
